Amazon Delivery Driver Admits Stealing CT Woman's Purse From Inside Her Car

An Amazon delivery driver has allegedly confessed to stealing a purse and other items out of a woman's vehicle while making a delivery at the Connecticut home.

Andre Brooks, 27, of Bristol, Connecticut, was arrest on Tuesday, Feb. 4, by Southbury Police following a complaint from the victim, said the Southbury Police Department.

According to police, Southbury Police responded to the home for the reported larceny by an Amazon delivery driver. The 69-year-old victim told officers she had parked her car minutes before receiving a delivery from Amazon. 

When the victim returned back to her vehicle, she noticed several items were missing from inside. 

Officers located and identified the driver as Brooks, who eventually confessed to stealing the woman’s purse from her vehicle after his delivery. 

Amazon personnel responded to the scene to assist police. 

Brooks was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
